Privacy Policy

Philosophymaxxing (“Philosophymaxxing,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is operated by Worldwide Studios, a California 501(c)(3) nonprofit. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using our mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”).

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and authentication identifiers provided by third-party sign-in services (such as Apple or Google).

User content. We collect the messages, voice notes, and prompts you send to our philosopher tutors so we can provide the Service, improve responses, and maintain conversation history within your account.

Device & usage data. We collect standard diagnostic information such as device model, OS version, app version, crash logs, and aggregated usage events (for example, which screens are opened). We do not use this data to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Purchase information. If you subscribe through the Apple App Store, Apple processes payment and shares a transaction receipt with us. We do not collect or store your full payment card details.

2. How We Use Information

3. AI Processing

Conversations are processed by third-party large language model providers solely to generate responses for you. We do not sell your conversations and we do not authorize providers to use your content to train their general-purpose models without your consent where such consent is required by law.

4. Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service (such as cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, and AI inference providers) under contracts that require them to protect your information. We may also disclose information to comply with the law, protect rights and safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain account information for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account) or by emailing hello@worldwide-studios.org. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

6. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email hello@worldwide-studios.org. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, and EEA/UK residents have rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Transfers

We are based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. and other countries.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
